About Us

Our pre-schools focus on a safe, secure and happy environment to help create confident, inspired and kind children.

We will run our own Early Years Settings both Pre-school and Full Day Care settings from 2018 and we also offer support and guidance to others who have joined the Launchpad Early Years Network.

Launchpad Early Years was born through the work of Diocese of Winchester’s ‘Winchester Social Enterprise’ (WSE). There are already many successful Church of England Primary schools associated with their local church; and the Launchpad Network exists to strengthen and enhance early years links for the benefit of the children and also for the wider community

Our Vision

Our vision embraces the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral and social development of children and young people. We offer a vision of human flourishing for all, one that embraces excellence and academic rigour, but sets them in a wider framework. Launchpad seeks to nurture awareness and development through four basic elements which permeate the Church of England’s vision for education, and the care and development of young children:

  • Wisdom
  • Hope
  • Community
  • Dignity

This vision is for the common good of the whole community and its environment, whether national, regional or local. It is hospitable to diversity, respects freedom of religion and belief, and encourages others to contribute from the depths of their own traditions and understandings.

Learning Through Play. All children learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outside. We will provide opportunities for children to develop their imagination and skills through a variety of play and activities, including messy play. Our settings deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework Settings.

Our core values are Christian at their heart. We teach children to love and respect one another. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values through the experience we offer you and your children. We warmly welcome children from all faiths or no religious background.

Partnership with children, parents, families and the church is important to us. Every child develops best in a loving nurturing home environment. Parenting needs to be positively valued and promoted whilst being supported by the setting and community.

School Readiness is a measure of how prepared a child is to succeed in school, cognitively, socially and emotionally, there is a school readiness gap that separates children. Parents play an enormous role in closing this gap, as do our preschools.
